Jailbreak 3.0 Firmware (iPod Touch First and Second Gen)
For Windows:
Step 1: Download redsn0w , 3.0 Firmware and iTunes 8.2
Step 2: Connect your iPod Touch to computer
Step 4: Start iTunes 8.2 & Select iPod Touch from devices list
Step 5: Hold Shift and click Restore
Step 6: Locate iPod Touch ipsw files downloaded in step 1
Step 7: Do not disconnect till iTunes has completed updating iPod Touch
Step 8: Run Redsnow and follow intructions
Step 9: Enjoy your new Jailbroken 3.0 iPod Touch!

I keep getting “Redsn0w-win_0.7.2 has stopped working, windows will tell you when it has found a solution to this problem” or something like that. idk what to do. on my Ipod touch screen it reads “Downloading Jailbreak Data…” should i let it just sit like that or do i have to do it over again since redsnow stopped working??? please help!!
never mind i guess i just got it to work cuz everythings goin fine and i finally got passed my problem tyvm for this guide!!!!!

what does step 6 mean its not makin g sense….where is the file located on

The ipsw is the file you downloaded from step 1. This is the complete image of the ipod firmware. Around 150-200 MB or so.
umm.. . . yeah if you use redsn0w to jailbreak you really dont have to go in to itunes at all
1) download the fw to your desktop http://mac.softpedia.com/progDownload/iPhone-Firmware-Download-38026.html
2) get redsn0w from their website just google it
3) open redsn0w and click browse find the firmware and then follow the steps
i dont understand step 6 at all
but i did something and idk where to find the thingy when i click browse on the redsn0w thing
every time i attempt to restore my second generation ipod touch with the 3.0 firmware provided it says there’s an error, can someone help me?

i followed the instruction on redsnow but after i finish following the steps, the screen of my itouch turns white and on my computer it says unrecognizable device, and i would wait for it to reboot, but it never does
